There are many factors that can affect the way a woman gives birth. Making my care more
woman-centered empowers women to take a more active role in their pregnancy before,
during, and after the birth, resulting in a more positive experience. As a midwife, it
is important to be supportive and encouraging.
Each family is unique and, by working in partnership, the family's specific needs can be
recognised and acted upon.
I enjoy taking a healthy attitude towards life, working towards a balance in nutrition,
exercise and relaxation. Stress is always apparent in varying amounts within our culture and
it is important to know how to deal with the stress through relaxation.
My passion is Complementary Therapies, in particular massage, aromatherapy, reflexology,
breathing and movement based on yoga techniques.
