BIRTHLIGHT YOGA DIPLOMA TESTIMONIALS
Course dates: 26th-28th March
Attending the Birthlight yoga diploma was an eye-opening, thought provoking weekend.
I found the course work informative not only for pregnant women, but on a personal level too.
Learning the benefits of yoga, in pregnancy - and the possibility of teaching these to pregnant
women - is exciting and I see it as a priviledge also, as the benefit these courses/exercises
have for women is evident.
I enjoyed the weekend immensely, and although it was a huge learning curve, and lots of
information to process, it was also relaxing and grounding as it reminded me that sometimes
I get too medicalised. Wendy presented the learning material with such enthusiasm and passion,
displayed an obvious wealth of knowledge about this topic, and made me feel completely at ease.
I'm looking forward to progressing with Birthlight yoga teaching, and although it seems scary
for me at the moment, I feel it is very much needed in addition to antenatal exercise classes
and courses.

Wendy's loving, encouraging and humorous way of presenting and leading this course
has given me not only a wonderful and refeshing weekend for myself but also the
right tools and ideas to make the class special and nurturing for my clients.

Hi Wendy
Thanks to Francoise and yourself for an amazing three days of Birthlight Yoga.
I was able to implement my learning immediately and practiced exercises with
several post natal women the following day. Their complaints included sacrum
pain, inability to rest during the day, haemorrhoids and incontinence and for
every individual complaint I suggested one yoga therapy.
I felt I had made a positive input and the women responded enthusiastically.
I had a student midwife working with me and she was most impressed with the
advice given and demonstrations of exercises.
Warmest Regards

Hi Wend
Now that reality has crept in and the days and nights are full I figured I'd
better write down a couple of thoughts that I did not grasp at the end of our
wonderful 3 days together. You and Francoise complemented each other very well
over the course and there was never a time when I thought 'ok I can tune out or
drift off' - other than relaxation of course!
I'm so grateful I took the opportunity for this seminar, as it once again shows
me my pathway is not through the academic world but through practical application
for happiness! Lots of soul searching in the car coming home! Some of us need to
be battered over the head with our own destiny sometimes.
My other purpose for writing is a small item that has overall impact. It's around
language and the attachment is a good example of what I've droned on in maternity
circles for 14 years. Parents Centre CBEs certainly get that message clearly
when they begin teaching. For me it's about strength and empowerment and this is
what Yoga can do for women

Thanks Wendy,
I enjoyed the workshop so much! It was lovely to meet you and francoise and
everybody.
My classes are continuing to go well here and I am introducing more and more of
what I learned on the weekend with each class. Thank you for the certificate and
access to the logo, and for contacting midwifery council.
I have begun thinking about the assignment and I am looking into some yoga
classes to attend.
Thanks again wendy for your lovely work,
Warm regards,
Claire Eccleston, Midwife
