These informative classes show expectant mums how posture and relaxed stretching, using the breath, can alleviate common complaints of pregnancy. The classes revolve around preparation awareness of using the mind and body together in order to labour and birth in a natural way. Recommended from 15 weeks onwards.

A "Birthing Lightly" Seminar For Midwives and Childbirth Educators


A one-day seminar dedicated to understanding that women and babies are designed to inter-relate and that giving birth is a mind/body experience. This course looks at the significance of managing the birthing environment, and how this impacts on birthing naturally. The particular focus of this course is to use the skills of yoga and breathing with movement, acupressure and massage in order to encourage a natural birth. This seminar has been approved by the Midwifery Council of New Zealand and accredited with 5 points.

Birthlight Diploma for Maternity Professionals - Royal College of Midwives Accredited

A course specifically designed for maternity professionals who are not yoga teachers but who practise yoga, or have an interest in yoga.

The diploma is divided into 3 modules that must be completed within a period of 1 year.

Price: New Zealand NZ$700 for part 1 and NZ$350 for part 2.
